Why choose us?

There are many language programmes in

England, so what makes ours special?

The full Oxford experience

At Oxford Summer Programmes, we offer truly immersive educational courses. Inspired by the teaching system characteristic of the University, our programmes lavish students with attention, with a fantastic staff-to-student ratio of 1:4. We offer small group supervision, and every student receives a one-to-one writing tutorial. By learning together, students become friends with academics and Oxford students.

However, the experience does not finish when class ends. In the evenings, students experience opulent Oxford banquets in their college’s great hall, enjoy traditional cream teas and garden walks, and get to visit wonderful places such as Blenheim Palace, Stratford (Shakespeare’s birthplace), and London’s historic sights.

There are many language courses in England, but in no other course does each student live such a holistic and authentic student life, nor feel so part of a group and so carefully looked after.  Every year we pride ourselves on creating lasting memories, uniting different countries and cultures and helping to foster international understanding.

Experience Oxford-style teaching

Our programmes improve your spoken and written English. They are highly participatory, and the teaching group sizes are very small. You will receive personal attention from world-class academics and can ask them questions directly. You will also have a one-to-one writing tutorial. This method of education, characteristic of Oxford University, encourages students to take part, ask questions and clearly express their ideas.

Enjoy an authentic student life

Students currently studying at Oxford University will be involved in classes and will lead a social programme which will offer you a taste of student life at the college. Fascinating social and cultural activities, including visits to the theatre and trips to London and Stratford-upon-Avon (Shakespeare’s birthplace), will immerse you in English language and culture – you really will have the time of your life!

Learn from experienced educators

We are professional, experienced educators. We have been delivering summer programmes in Oxford for many years and previously spent many more teaching and tutoring. This combined experience means we are confident our summer programmes are the best available.

Genuine passion

We love what we do. It has been a privilege to have been a part of the programmes we have previously run and to have met and befriended our wonderful former students. These relationships are the main reason our programmes continue to exist, and we strongly believe they will continue to create lasting memories for students yet to come.

This whole experience has been the best two weeks of my life.

Andrew Bibee

Thank you for organising this wonderful summer programme, and for inviting all those brilliant tutors. I’ve made the decision to go to graduate school in the UK!

Linda Lin

This course was a really good chance to practice speaking English, because it’s difficult to do so in Japanese Universities. So I hope you will keep putting the emphasis on debate or discussion.

Yumiko Inaoka

Amazing experience! Memorable and unique summer! This course is far more than gaining knowledge and a global view: it guides us to think and study differently.

Zoe Wang

It was dazzling!

Eiji Yasuhara

I have learned many things from different perspectives; we had fabulous opportunities. I cannot be more satisfied.

Maiko Oka

I learned more from these two weeks than one year in school! Study is not all about school; the cultural experience is much more important for me. I fell in love with the country because of you.
